The Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level with a 9-month, academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning Fall 2025. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research areas include, but are not limited to, artificial intelligence and modeling, construction robotics, construction automation, digital twins for the built environment, smart safety systems, production systems and supply chains, modular construction, and the circular economy. We prioritize the innovative potential and research promise of candidates over their specific sub-field within Construction Engineering and Management. We are looking for individuals who align with the Department's vision and are pushing the boundaries of their sub-field to enhance the sustainability and resilience of built environment. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and demonstrate the capability to establish an independent research program. A strong dedication to both graduate and undergraduate education is essential, as well as the ability to engage in interdisciplinary research.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor graduate students, lead a dynamic research team in advancing the field of Construction Engineering and Management, participate in all aspects of the department activities and serve the profession.
