We seek dedicated educators and researchers to join our team, focusing on a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Power Engineering.


Position Description
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A strong background and experience in one or more of the following areas is required: Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electric Motors and Drive, Power Apparatus and Protection, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy Systems, Wireless Power Transfer.


Fresh PhD graduates would be considered but preferences are given to candidates with relevant post-doctoral research/teaching experience in universities.


Responsibilities
The desired candidate is expected to (inclusive but not limited to):


Research Excellence
• Disseminate new research findings in peer-reviewed journals and premier conferences, contributing significantly to the domain of Power Engineering.
• Secure external research funding and develop a top-notch research program.
• Drive industry-relevant innovation and applications through research.


Teaching and Mentoring
• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Power Engineering.
• Mentor and supervise graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows, fostering a collaborative research environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and refresh for Power Engineering.


Service and Professionalism
• Enhance research collaboration between EEE and industry partners.
• Engage in school, university, and professional service activities.
• Contribute to the academic community through participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops.


Requirements
Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
• A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A strong track-record of research and innovation in power engineering.
• Experience in teaching and mentoring students.
• Strong commitment to academic service and leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
