We are hiring a Research Associate/Research Fellow in Information Engineering and Media to develop Machine Learning and AI algorithms for real-world and media-related applications. The Research Associate/Research Fellow is also expected to support teaching activities as required by the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, refine and implement Machine Learning and AI algorithms for real-world and media-related (e.g., video games) applications.

• Conduct literature survey to find out the state-of-the-art Machine Learning and AI algorithms implemented in real-world and media-related (e.g., video games) applications.

• Prepare report and conduct presentation at seminars.

• Publish findings and results in conferences and journals, contributing to the research community.

• Assist the school in various teaching activities, including instructing or supervision of labs and tutorials.

• Assist in mentoring and guiding students in projects and competitions.

Job Requirements:

• MSc/Meng (Research Associate) or PhD (Research Fellow) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields.

• Proficient in common programming languages such as Java, C/C++ and Python.

• Experience in developing and implementing Machine Learning and AI algorithms.

• Good written and oral communication skills.

• Good team player, self-driven and able to work independently.

• Like to teach, guide and work with students.
