Position: Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor
Location: Department of Mechanical Engineering

Status: Full Time (Tenure-Track appointment)

The College of Engineering is seeking applicants to fill a tenure- track position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with experience in Fracture Mechanics, Composite Materials, and/or Metallurgy. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising master students and conducting a vigorous self-reliant research program.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of solid mechanics, design, and materials as assigned
  • Advise undergraduate and graduate students
  • Conduct research in the field of specialization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; and a Ph.D. in Mechanical/ Materials Engineering
  • Experience in securing funded basic and applied research is desired
  • Industrial experience is desired

Salary Commensurate with education, training and experience
