Work description
- Develop dynamic simulation models for electrochemical energy storage systems, taking into account different energy storage technologies such as lithium-ion batteries and flow batteries.
- Develop microgrid models for operation in isolated mode.
- Support the development of the microgrid test system, based on real-time simulation at INESC TEC's Smart Grids and Electric Vehicles laboratory.
Academic Qualifications
- Master in electrical and computer engineering; power systems and other related areas
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge of power system- Modelling and simulation software (Matlab Simulink, etc.)
Preference factors
- Experience on microgrid operation in islanded mode.
- Programming experience (Python, C, etc.)
