Job Summary:
The Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering within the Washkewicz College of Engineering at Cleveland State University (CSU) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position as an Assistant College Lecturer commencing August 18, 2025. The department has established a new bachelor’s program in biomedical engineering, starting in Fall 2024, with the first expected graduating class in 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate, and possibly graduate-level, biomedical engineering courses; lead senior design projects; develop new instructional laboratories; provide academic advising to students; and participate in faculty governance.
The Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Department offers bachelors, master’s, and doctoral degrees in both chemical engineering and biomedical engineering. The PhD program in biomedical engineering is conducted in conjunction with the Lerner Research Institute of the Cleveland Clinic. The Department has a track record of attracting funding from the State of Ohio, federal (NASA, NSF, NIH, USDA) agencies, and industry.

Doctorate degree in biomedical engineering or related field;

Industrial experience;

Track record of mentoring students;

Experience with ABET accreditation;

Strong record in teaching biomedical engineering courses.
