Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision

 

Work description

  • Update the state of the art in Artificial Intelligence models applied in fire detection;
  • Update the state of the art in Artificial Intelligence models in the optimization of unmanned vehicles;
  • Develop models for fire detection;
  • Develop models for fire prediction:
  • Develop algorithms to optimize the performance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs);
  • Write scientific publications of the results and the report of the activities of the grant.

 

Academic Qualifications

  • Students attending the Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrotechnics and Computer Engineering.

 

Minimum profile required

  • Ability to read, write and communicate orally in English.

 

Preference factors

  • Research experience in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision.

 

Maintenance stipend: € 601,12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.

 

INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".

 

The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
