- Teach Computer Information Systems (CIS) courses that support the department’s majors and minors
(www.wmich.edu/infosystems/academics)

- Conduct and publish scholarly research in peer-reviewed journals

- Advise and mentor students

- Serve on department, college and university committees as needed

- Appropriately maintain AACSB qualification credentials
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in CIS, IS, MIS, CS or related field from an AACSB or ABET accredited institution (completion by December 31, 2020)
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching experience with favorable student ratings

- Established record or strong potential for scholarly research

- Teaching/research field preferences: Able to teach/research in the following fields of information systems (i.e., cloud computing and services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud; computer networking; cybersecurity; internet of things; infrastructure management, etc.)

- Professional Certification in the field preferences listed above

- Ability or willingness to teach hybrid and/or online courses

There are currently 22 full-time (tenured, tenure-track, and term) faculty in two programs housed in the BIS Department; Computer Information Systems and Business Communications. Both programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The Department offers four majors; Computer Information Systems (CIS), Business Analytics (BA), Digital Marketing and E-Commerce (DME), Health Informatics & Information Management (HiiM), two minors; Business Analytics (BA) and Computer Information Systems (CIS), an MBA concentration in Computer Information Systems as well as M.S. and Graduate Certificate programs in Cybersecurity.
