Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering: Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position for its growing engineering programs to teach undergraduate and master’s level engineering courses; advise students; maintain an active research agenda and provide service to the department and university. The start date is August 2023.
Required: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a closely-related field by date of appointment (ABDs may apply, but the doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment). Appointment to the rank of associate professor requires an established record of high-quality teaching and research.
Consideration may be given to candidates with research activities in: i) Smart Manufacturing/Factory systems, ii) Robotics (human-robot interactions, kinematics and controls, machine learning, medical applications, etc.), and iii) Automation (sensors and instrumentation, networked multi-agent systems, manufacturing systems, etc.); and teaching experience, industrial and/or post-doctoral appointments or a record of grant funding and scholarly publications.
