The Department of Engineering Technology at Old Dominion University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) to begin in Fall 2025. This is an annual 10-month tenure track appointment that will begin July 25, 2025. The department is committed to recruiting, supporting, and fostering a diverse community of outstanding faculty, undergraduate students, and staff.
The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Teach undergraduate courses in the Electrical Engineering Technology program on campus and distance education through ODU Global.
- Seek external funding opportunities to support scholarly activities.
- Produce high-quality research for publication in top-ranked journals.
- Contribute to systematic planning and development of the EET program.
- Participate in the professional and intellectual community through professional and University service.
- Advise senior design capstone projects within their area of expertise.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among students, faculty, and staff.
Opportunities for teaching graduate courses in the candidate’s area of expertise will also be available with other departments in the college.
