Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering
Position location: Kingston
The faculty position is full-time, academic year tenure-track, permanent.
Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in Electrical Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in Fall 2025.
BASIC FUNCTION:
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program, to interact with other faculty in our college, and to teach and develop undergraduate and graduate electrical engineering courses.
Outstanding candidates in all areas of electromagnetics/electronics/optics will be considered. This includes but is not limited to
- Electromagnetic fields.
- Artificial intelligence/machine learning for electromagnetics/electronics/optics.
- Radio-frequency, mixed-signal analog and digital integrated circuits.
The Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island offers programs leading to the BS, MS, and PhD degrees. The interdisciplinary nature of our department will provide the new faculty member with opportunities to interact with a broad range of colleagues.
