Prof. Hualiang Zhang’s group at the ECE Dept., University of Massachuset Lowell has a few openings for PhD students to join us in Fall 2022 to conduct research in the field of high-frequency electronics and deep-learning for applications such as emerging wireless communication circuits and systems (for 5G and future 6G systems), millimeter-wave radar sensors, flexible and wearable electronics, infrared lenses and imaging systems. Related topics include RF/microwave/millimeter-wave circuits and systems, micro-/nano-device fabrication, analog/digital circuit design, metasurfaces/metamaterials, and deep learning techniques. Students who are interested in one (or more than one) of these topics are welcome to apply. A Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, physics, computer engineering, optical engineering, or related disciplines is encouraged for this position.
All of our group alumni (PhDs and postdocs) have been hired by leading companies such as Qorvo, Qualcomm, MITRE and universities (as tenure-track faculty) such as Florida State University and East China Normal University.
