The UNC/NC State Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for two part-time lecturer postitions to teach design courses during the Spring 2023 semester:

Job Description for BMME 298 instructor

The lecturer will be responsible for teaching BMME 298 Biomedical Engineering Design and Manufacturing I together with its associated labs in the spring semester of 2023.   This includes delivering in-person lectures that cover the course objectives as stated in the course syllabus, assessing student performance in a timely manner, coordinating clinical immersion sites, collaborating and cooperating with the NC State-based design instructors, UNC-based senior design instructor and UNC-based lab manager, supervising teaching assistants, providing help to students during scheduled office hours and all other responsibilities associated with instruction of the course.

Lecture for the course is Wednesday 3:30 – 4:20.  Labs meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 – 10:20 and 1:00 – 2:50.  Attendance at labs is not required. but preparing teaching assistants to direct the labs is one of the responsibilities of this position.
