Job Purpose
RIT Dubai is actively seeking outstanding candidates for two full-time faculty positions in Mechanical Engineering, beginning in the Fall semester of the 2026-2027 academic year. The responsibilities associated with this role encompass teaching, research, educational activities (including course development, undergraduate and graduate advising, and lab development), and active participation in professional service activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

• Doctoral Degree: A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Priority 1: Machine Design, Solid Mechanics, Computational Mechanics, Materials Processing, Biomechanics, Bio-Inspired Design
• Priority 2: HVAC Systems, Building Energy Modeling, Built Environment, Sustainable Building Technologies
• Teaching Proficiency: The candidate should possess the ability to instruct a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.
• Student Mentorship: Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to MSc students working on their theses in their respective areas of expertise, as well as mentor undergraduate students as they navigate their capstone projects.
• Service and Research: Active participation in departmental, college, and university service activities, as well as a strong commitment to research and scholarly activities.
• American Higher Education Experience is preferred.
• Industry Expertise: Demonstrated industry experience within the field is highly advantageous.
