Position Summary:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Villanova University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Engineering starting in August 2023. Candidates are sought in the broad area of Computer Engineering including, but not limited to, computer hardware and architecture, embedded systems, computer networks, secure and dependable computing, machine learning architectures, quantum computing, cloud computing, and very-large-scale integration (VLSI) design.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses at all levels of the computer engineering curriculum and cybersecurity engineering field, develop new courses that align with their area of research, develop sponsored and sustained research programs, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and supervise research performed by undergraduate, Master's and Ph.D. students.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field with strong engineering expertise, a strong record of high-quality publications, a potential to lead an externally-funded research program, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.
