The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tennessee Tech University, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track lecturer position to begin August 1, 2022. Three-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review and availability of funding for the position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate-level courses in Mechanical Engineering.
Qualified candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and have prior teaching or industrial experience in engineering-related studies. Qualified candidates must also provide evidence of ability to manage student projects and laboratory courses. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and experience in teaching and/or research related to thermal and fluid science engineering. Preference will also be given to applicants having experience supporting student learning in curricular or extra-curricular activities. Successful candidates should have a demonstrated commitment and contribution to fostering and advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion.
