The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Villanova University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to teach and conduct research in Computer Engineering, starting in August 2020. Candidates are sought who can contribute to all levels of the computer engineering curriculum, but special consideration will be given to those candidates with strong research and publication record in cybersecurity engineering and/or cyber-physical systems. Through a generous alumni gift, the Department recently dedicated a state-of-the-art Cyber-Physical Systems Security Lab. This facility provides unique hands-on opportunities for teaching and research in this emerging field.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses at all levels of the computer engineering curriculum and cybersecurity engineering field, develop new courses that align with their area of research, develop sponsored and sustained research programs, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and supervise research performed by undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. students.
