The Integrated Computing Laboratory at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, led by Dr. Cheng Chen (https://www.uah.edu/eng/faculty-staff/cheng-chen), is excited to announce two available Ph.D. positions starting as early as Spring 2025. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, including computational design and digital thread development.
We offer competitive graduate assistantships, which include full tuition coverage, health insurance, travel support, and a monthly stipend. Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with research experience or a Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- A passion for research and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- A strong work ethic and a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to design, conduct, and interpret experiments under the mentorship of the Principal Investigator.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A publication record and an interest in computational design or Internet of Things (IoT).
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
- A passion for pursuing a research-driven career.
