The Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab at the University of Notre Dame (A top 15 University in U.S.) directed by Prof. Yanliang Zhang has openings for Postdoc Research Associate to work on additive manufacturing of functional/flexible devices for energy conversion/storage, flexible electronics/sensors, and soft robotics. The successful candidate will not only benefit from being a key part of an interdisciplinary team working on cutting edge research using world-class research facilities, but also be offered with state-of-the-art academic training as well as career development support. The postdoc associate will have opportunities to attend conferences/workshops, pursue research grants/awards, and collaborate with leading researchers from National Labs and other top universities. Desired Qualifications:

  • A PhD degree in engineering or science disciplines (mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, etc.)
  • Experience on printing functional devices (e.g. energy conversion/storage, sensor, flexible electronics) is preferred.
  • Experience on printed device design, fabrication, integration and testing is preferred.
  • A proven record of research excellence.

The Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Lab (AMEL) focuses on cutting-edge research on additive- and nano- manufacturing, advanced energy conversion and sensor technologies, and autonomous systems. Prof. Zhang is a recipient of the prestigious career award from U.S. National Science Foundation.
