Work description
- Characterize the state of the art in the field of hybrid storage systems and perspectives of their evolution taking into account different use cases;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of tools in the energy area, involving hybrid storage systems, renewable production, isolated systems, system services, system dynamics and stability;
- Develop APIs for the exchange of information between systems and to enable interaction between new tools and existing platforms;
- Specify virtual power plants and their functional applications based on hybrid storage systems and aiming at providing specific system services.
- Attend a curricular unit of transversal competences;
- Write the grant activity report.
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge in programming;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preference factors
- Capability to analyze and process data relating to the operation and control of energy systems;
- Experience or knowledge of fundamental concepts of dynamics and stability of isolated systems;
- Experience or knowledge of energy conversion systems for storage devices or renewable systems;
- Knowledge of Python (or similar);
- Knowledge in the area of energy transition and digitalization;
- Knowledge of electrical energy storage systems.
