Requirements
A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Quantity Surveying / Construction Project Management or a related qualification with at least four (4) years of lecturing and/or industry experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competence to teach at least three (3) of the following courses/subject areas: Theory of Quantity Surveying, Construction Legislation and Regulations, Building and Engineering Law, Construction Economics, Measurement, Computer Applications for Quantity Surveying, Construction Accounting, Construction Project Management, Professional Practice and Procedures, Construction Finance, Contract Management, Construction Costing and Feasibility Study, and Research Methodology. Competence to establish professional networks and maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in curriculum development. A credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications, community engagement, supervision of students (research) at the under-andpost-graduate level. Registered/ registerable with the Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors or another similarly recognised relevant statutory professional body.
