The Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Drexel University (www.drexel.edu/materials) is seeking applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position with a demonstrated record of excellence in original research in the general field of materials. Primary consideration will be given to candidates with areas of expertise in microscopy, metallurgy, and/or materials computation, although excellent candidates in all materials-related fields are encouraged to apply.
Located in an exciting urban environment, our department has rapidly expanded during the past 10 years; consisting of 14 faculty, ~130 undergraduate and over ~80 graduate students working in four core research directions including nanomaterials, soft and biomaterials, electronic materials, and materials for energy and environment applications.
