The Assistant Dean for Finance and Operations serves as a senior strategic partner to the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing.  Reporting to the dean, the Assistant Dean works closely with other members of the leadership team and is responsible for the administration, fiscal management, budgeting, IT, and human resources management at the college. Serving as the College’s chief operating officer, the Assistant Dean provides oversight and administration of multiple units to ensure effectiveness. Additional aspects are: Contributing to or setting long-term goals and strategic planning; ensuring effective financial management of responsibility units; evaluating productivity and developing efficiencies, developing organizational strategies to ensure staffing structure and levels are in line with organizational needs and motivating staff and managing all levels of performance; overseeing data analysis for all aspects of the college; and overseeing space allocation, maintenance and renovations.
