PhD positions are available to work on the following areas in my research group (Energy and Emissions)
1.) Inhalation assessment of nano particles – Develop experimental and numerical tools to assess the transport and deposition of nano particles in human lung models. Opportunity for collaboration with the medial teaching hospital/university to further develop studies on impact of work place exposure to nano particle inhalation
2.) The energy and emissions group is also working on developing methods to distinguish and quantify spherical and non spherical aerosols. Opportunity to work on developing advanced optical diagnostics and implementing the solutions in field studies. Opportunity for industrial internships.
3.) PhD Thesis topic on evaluation and modelling on liquid ring sealing methods. This is part of a funded exploration to understand the fluid mechanics of liquid ring sealing.
