Assistant/Associate Professor Position(s), Biomedical Engineering – Tenure Track
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rowan University invites applicants for tenure-track position(s) at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek outstanding candidates who have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active, highly visible, externally-funded research program with outstanding scholarship and to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and doctoral graduate students. The areas of expertise are open encompassing all research areas of the biomedical engineering field.

Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified research institution with approximately 17,300 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. The College of Engineering has undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, and Mechanical Engineering. Biomedical Engineering is our newest department and is in a period of substantial growth.
Major metropolitan areas within the Northeast Corridor are within easy reach of Glassboro. Philadelphia is a thirty minute drive, New York City and Washington, D.C. are less than three hours away, and Jersey beaches are only an hour drive.
